    Hello all,

HackerDojo, a non-profit community center in Mountain View is organizing a “Reverse Job Fair”.
It is a event where instead of having applicants drop their resume off at employer tables, they are having employers come by applicant booths where job-seekers can demonstrate the awesome things they’ve built.
They have over 30 employers showing up.

Attendees don’t need to be a member of the Dojo or pay any money to participate!

    Date – January 16th, 2010
    Time – 10am – 1pm
Location – 140 South Whisman Road, Mountain View, CA.

    Hello,

My name is Christine Patterson and I am a recruiter for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), a bureau of the Department of Treasury. Our agency is currently hiring for an entry-level “Assistant National Bank Examiner” position. We’re proud of the recognition we have received for being a great place to work. For instance, one national survey ranked us as one of the “50 Best Places to Launch a Career” and another scored us highly as one of “The Best Places to Work in the Federal Government “. Our mission is to charter, regulate and supervise the integrity of 2000 national banks with $6 trillion in assets. Our culture promotes creative and thoughtful contributions by people in all positions, and an environment that values and encourages diversity.

Our people are unmatched in terms of the intellect, skill, judgment, dedication, experience and common sense that they bring to their work. In response to their dedication, we offer excellent benefits, travel, and flexible work schedules that have enhanced our efforts to attract the best talent America has to offer.

The role of a National Bank Examiner is interesting and varied. National Bank Examiners supervise domestic and international activities of national banks and perform corporate analyses. Examiners analyze a bank’s loan and investment portfolios, funds management, capital, earnings, liquidity, sensitivity to market risk, and compliance with consumer banking laws, including the Community Reinvestment Act. They review the bank’s internal controls, in-house and external audit processes, and overall compliance with banking laws. They also evaluate bank management’s ability to identify and control risk.

The Assistant National Bank Examiner job is an entry-level position. We pride ourselves on providing continuous learning experiences and career opportunities throughout the nation. New examiners are placed on a training team for the first 6-8 months of their career to assist them in gaining expertise in bank examination. To qualify for this role, one would need a bachelor’s degree in accounting, banking, business administration, commercial or banking law, economics, finance or marketing, or three years of qualifying work experience that provided knowledge of accounting or auditing principles. For more information, and to review the application procedures for Entry-Level Bank Examiners visit our website: http://www.occ.treas.gov
